convert clean and clear to quad de

Anyone have any success in converting a clean and clear plus to a quad de filter? I have a cc520 and the cartridges have reached end of life. I was first thinking of replacing the whole thing and going to de with a backwash valve. Now I am looking at converting this one to the quad de and just hand washing the carts as needed since most of the parts are the same. It seems they clean a lot easier than the standard clean and clear filters. Only have to deal with de powder.

It looks like I just need the new carts, top manifold bottom manifold and diverter.

Anyone try this?

No, but I replaced my CC520 cartridges with Pleatco cartridges and they work better, last longer, are easier to clean and they're cheaper. And no DE to mess with.
