Tear in liner... deciding what my next step is...

28ft above ground, approx 6 years on liner.

Most likely plan on keeping the pool, walls are in good shape.

Question is if I drain this pool will the walls make it through the Michigan winter? I am pretty sure it will blow over.

(Tear is at the bottom appears 6+ inches)

I am thinking my only option is to drain and try and reinforce the walls with 2x4's till spring? Or am I taking this thing down completely?

Any thoughts and or experience in this position?

Hello Matt and welcome to TFP! If the tear is not too terribly bad, you still have hope before the water gets too cold on you. You can use a repair kit designed for underwater use like the one HERE. If it works, press-on with standard winter closing as outlined on the TFP Pool School - Closing (Winterizing) Your Above Ground Pool page. Hope this helps.
