Pentair 160317 vs Hayward c1200?

Currently have the c1200. Pool is 13,000 gal.

Any opinions about Pentair 160317 vs Hayward c1200? The Pentair is about $100 more, but 30 more sqft.

Or a different recommendation?

Also I one compatible with the other? Currently the pipe connections to the input and output of the filter are 1-1/2". I think the Pentair only accepts 2". If I should go with the Pentair, it's no problem step the diameter of the pipe up, right?

Yes, you could just step up pipe diameters, assuming you have the room on your pad to cut/splice pipe to make it fit.

But, what's the problem with your current filter? I doubt you'll see all that much difference in cleaning frequency between 120 and 150 square feet...doesn't seem worth the trouble to upgrade. If you're frustrated with the amount of cleaning, you'll need to get a much bigger filter to really make a dent in that.
