Need help adding Boric Acid

Even after leaving pool unattended for 8 days, my levels are great. Now I want to add Borates in the form of powdered Boric Acid. Pool Calculator tells me how much but not how. Do I need to lower my TA a bit more? It's steady at 80.
This morning: CYA 80, pH 7.6, FC 9 (dropping from SLAM) CC 0, TA 80, CH 175
And I see how to do it with Borax and MA, but not Boric Acid. Please advise.

Boric acid is equal to Borax + MA. In one convenient dose. If your PH is stable then you can add it now. If your PH still rises then lower TA to 70 and see if PH is stable, then 60 if needed.

Kool. I'll check again in the AM. Can you turn on SWG while Boric Acid is dissolving? I think I will keep Hayward Critter running at time i put acid in. He is doing awesome cleaning bottom.

Are you using Pool Math or poolcalculator.com?

Please be careful with poolcalculator and only use Pool Math as linked through from TFP. They look the same but I don't think the calculation from poolcalculator.com are correct.

I only use poolcalculator because I paid for it. Tonight's readings: pH 7.6 FC 6.5 (SWG goes on tomorrow) CC 0.0, TA 70(endpoint 80), CH 175. Didnt test salt or CYA.
So can SWG run while I add Boric Acid??

Fine to run swg and cleaner. No need to clean the filter. I'm pretty sure that Pool calculator is not updated anymore. PoolMath in TFP is kept current.

The boric acid dissolves pretty quickly. I just dumped mine in the pool and brushed. It wont get stuck in the filter for days like CYA can.
