Start SLAM on July 25 - water was mostly clear, slight green algae on pool ladder and vinyl felt little "fuzzy" - tried battling stains w/AA but pool has had a <20 cya. Followed TFP advice (earlier thread that I cannot find to contine posting) - got CYA to 40 and began SLAM. Newbie so wanted to see if I appear to be on the correct track so far. Temps have been low 90s and pretty sunny. Have left SWG off and filter running 24/7. Water is sparkling clear.

7/25 Readings before SLAM

FC 6
CC .5
CYA 40

Added LC and somehow my FC went to 21 (must have made a serious error in calculation - thou I reimputed my #'s and got the same result again)

7/25 7:00 p.m. readings:

FC 21
CC .5

7/26 7:00 a.m. readings

FC 15.5
CC .5

added 13 oz lc

7/26 2 p.m. readings:

FC 12.5
CC <.5

added lc

7/26 4:00 p.m. readings

FC 16.5

7/26 6:45 p.m. readings

FC 14.

added 54 oz LC

7/26 8:30 p.m. readings

FC 16
CC .5

Did not pass OCLT

7/27 7:00 a.m. test

FC 14.5
CC .5

added 40 oz LC

7/27 10:30 a.m.

FC 16.5

7/27 3:00 p.m.

FC 12

added 108 oz LC

Except for the initial overdose of LC - do these numbers seem reasonable for a SLAM situation? Much thanks for any guidance/suggestions!

Yea! Water looks very clear! Do have another question - as soon as I pass OCLT, I'll need to wait a few days for accurate CYA so in the meantime, how low do I let the FC drift down to?
