Yet another ladder question...

I have read through the forum and haven't seen a situation like mine... My deck will be approximately 8 inches BELOW the top rail of the pool. We are adding onto an existing deck and don't want to raise the new section. Is there a deck mounted ladder that would fit my application? The one's I've seen have the handles attaching almost flush with the top rail...

Anyone? Bueller?

We had someone a while ago in the same situation, they used and 8x8 timber cut to size

I'd want build a little platform to step up even with the top rail of the pool. Would work with a regular ladder then and would also prevent people from stepping on (or getting tripped up over that 8 inch difference).

My deck is below the pool edge, also. We built steps that come up to the pool lip and attached our steps to that. You could do the same with a ladder. I'll try to take a pic tomorrow.
