Ordered a replacement PCB board for my 8 year old AquaRite electronic chlorine generator. Over the next few days, what is the best way to manually keep my pool chlorinated, tablets or liquid shock? It is going to be mid 80s with sun through the weekend.

Clorox is 8.25%. Liquid shock is 10% and in a few cases a little higher. It's your money, spend it wisely.

When I need it, I just buy plain old store brand stuff, 8.25%. If you can do the math and find it a little cheaper per %, go for it. It's all the same in the end.

A lot of us don't have the option of "liquid shock", the next best thing is the 10% at Walmart for $2.50, and then Great Value and then Clorox, in descending order of economical. If you have access to 12.x% or whatever, awesome!
