got a quote for katchAKid fence (manufacturer is poolbarrier, with tri-core aluminum pole). 85 linear feet, with 1 self closing gate, 4 ft high, total $1,685. Getting more quotes from others, price seems very reasonable, thoughts?
got another quote from protect-a-child total price $1,900. This one has fiberglass poles instead of aluminum which seem to hold up better than aluminum ones. Anybody have thoughts comparing the two?
Realistically if your intention is to keep a small child from falling in the pool, the pole material will not matter. They arent going to be able to damage either material. Now keeping some drunk adults out of the pool is a different story.
I went with Guardian premier pool fence which has aluminum poles and stainless pins. The Katchakid fence looks like the holes in the deck will be at least as twice the size as the Guardian fence holes. My fence is 5.5 years old and still in great condition.
