How to remove ClearO3

We just got control of our pool and I want to remove the ClearO3 unit completely. Not just turn it off.

There is a black tube that connects into the pump that concerns me. Any ideas how to remove the tube and seal that port?

Hi bdrums,
Pool pumps have drain plugs in the botom of them. I would imagine the drain plug was removed and that tube connected into the drain port.

That tubing is more than likely the return line for a flow switch so the 03 doesn't run while there is no flow from the pump. As Dave mentioned, removing the tubing and replacing the drain plug will likely solve the issue.

It's the tube that the ozone travels through, where it enters the pump basket. Ours is set so the main power to the unit only comes on when the pump is turned on, it's not activated by flow/noflow. I have the same O3, and I am also looking to take it out. Just need to buy the right drain plug for my hayward. And then, disconnect the power to it...
