Yes, I used the thick Clorox....Didn't even notice until I saw the suds....Old thread about this but not definitive. I believe the answer was to increase to shock levelwhich is what I was doing to close. Now I don't understand why shocking with regular bleach will kill the suds...any help?

The splash less bleach has additives (thickeners) that will need to be oxidized (burned off) with additional chlorine.
It it would be best to SLAM the pool until you pass all three criteria and the suds are gone.
