Need to replace vapor barrier in spa cover... suggestions?

We recently mistakenly dumped a quart of filter cleaner in our 8x8' spa. As a result, the vapor barrier in our three year old cover has disintegrated. The cover is otherwise in great shape. I have been unable to contact the seller, and other spa cover makers say that a new vapor barrier is only sold as an add on to a new cover.

So question: What would you recommend as a non toxic materiel with which we can fashion a new vapor barrier to replace the " permaliner chemical resistant 4 mil vapor barrier"?[h=1][/h][h=1][/h]
