I wish I could upload a pic of my situation. I have one photo in the upload area which seems to be all I'm allotted as well as trying to insert a pic here, pop-up says I'm exceeding my limit? I don't see a way to delete the 1 photo I have in the upload area either. Frustrating.
Anyway, I have a lot of what looks like chips of tile blowing back in my pool from the returns. One side of the chips is a dark brownish color and the other bright white. I've carefully inspected all the tile around the pool as well as the plaster and there isn't anything corroding. I cleaned the 4 cartriges in my filter this past weekend and there was little to none of these chips in the filter. I'm finding them at the bottom of the pool under the returns. All I can think of is maybe they are coming from the heater? Its a Raypak 400,000 BTU Cupro-nickel model. I installed it a year and a 1/2 ago.
If anyone could explain the photo insert process I would appreciate it. I'd like to insert a pic of a pile of these "chips" and also if anyone has any thoughts regarding these odd chips I'm finding under the returns. I find a handful weekly.
