Sanman023 - Hello From Elk Grove, California

    Hello All,

I am glad that there is a site like this that I can go to for advice and ideas. We live in Elk Grove just south of Sacramento, California. I am a first time pool owner since October of 2008. As you can imagine, we've been sitting here staring out at our virgin pool for the past 6 months with two months to go before we can take our very first dip. I've decided that I will keep the pool open all year long so I've been maintaining the pool since day one, which is a lot of work with no enjoyment. Our 4 year old daughter bugs me to let her put her feet in the pool but its still way too cold. I am hoping that this will be the hottest summer ever!!!

    Welcome!

What is the weather like there now? I can't imagine you'll have to wait 2 months....does it have a heater or anything?

It's about low 70s but I dont know what the water temp is right now....we are waiting for high 80s to high 100s...it's stubbed for a heater and future kitchen but this recession is brutal...we gotta be careful....i hope this pool saves us money by keeping us away from weekend outtings...bbq, swim, sleep and repeat every weekend...
