poly tank pool filtration system

Hi,
So I have a 8 ft deep poly plastic tank that I'd like to create an unconventional and temporary pool out of. Kind of like this one in Joshua Tree:

It is about 3000 gallons. I'd really appreciate any advice on a filtration system for the tank. Is there a way to install a pool pump without drilling any holes in the side of the tank? Would a pool pump and chlorine be sufficient to maintain it?

If it's deigned to hold water with an open top you could hook up a regular pool pump and filter system using a floating skimmer much like Intex uses and it would work.

Do you have a picture of the particular tank you have?
