Multi port leak?

I have noticed that my Multi port seems to be leaking into the section of 1.5" waste line. Because I keep that waste line valve closed off about 2 feet from the multiport, I can tell it fills with water over a period od several weeks. I also noticed that the water in the sight glass is yellow/green as though maybe the stagnant water in the waste line might be somehow leaking back in to the glass.

1- Is it normal to have that valve leak in to the waste line
2- Is it possible for it to back up in to the multi port sight glass or even the pool itself?
3- Am thinking I will change the spider gasket first
4- If it still does it, what else can it be?

Theoretically it should not leak into the waste line at all, but if you're talking filling a 2' section of 1½" line over a period of two weeks then it isn't much of a leak, and I'd likely dismiss it as trivial.

If it filled up the line in a day I'd be concerned and the first step is to replace the spider gasket.
