Hello all, I have gotten in my head that the pool chemicals will have an adverse affect on my new heat pump, and that came form all the research I did before buying the heat pump. AquaComfort vs Hayward Heat Pump?

Not sure if you have one yet, but if you don't you should get a solar pool cover. From what I have read cool nights is one of the major contributors to heat loss, this will help to maintain the heat you have reached while the pump is not running.

    AquaComfort vs Hayward Heat Pump?

The price difference was substantial, close to $2000. I haven't been able to use the heat pump yet due to an issue I am having with my skimmers :grrrr: so I can't speak to actual functionality but some other folks on here have the same model I have and are happy. Also the $2000 price difference...

Thank you so much Hayward Pool ...... I spoke to someone at Hayward and they said when the electrician comes to connect the heat pump that panel is removed "see if he can place the label on correctly", if not call him back and he would send someone out to replace it. That is exactly what...

Just got my new heat pump, should I be concerned ?

Thanks jblizzle. ... The cosmetic fact doesn't really bother me, if it is just cosmetic. I just don't want it to be functionally damaged and have signed for it already. Since I really won't know until I connect it to power, but it looks like just the plastic wasn't place right and the actual...

Solar pool cover and reel suggestions

Hello all, I'm looking for suggestion on a solar cover and reel, all I know about them is what I have read. Most of the stuff I have read is not good, how they only last 1 to 2 years, how they fall apart in your pool and leave pieces all over the place. I have done some searches and see that...

Hello all, Just wanted to update you guys I finally pulled the trigger but not on the SQ175, I had to go with the Hayward Heat Pro HP21404t. Azmp1, the HeatPro that steve_ng has is actually cheaper on the "inyo Pool" website: http://www.inyopools.com/Products/02200014058160.htm Than it is at Leslies: http://www.lesliespool.com/hayward-heatpro-titanium-digital-230v-pool-and-spa-heat-pump/heatpro.htm After my experience with...

Electric heat pump is the winner !! Now which one and what size .....

Yes ... Hayward doesn't even sell that model anymore and I can't find it for sale on ANY website. I'm not sure why Leslie's is the only company that has it and it just looks to me like they are trying to unload a surplus of end of life heat pumps

Electric heat pump is the winner !! Now which one and what size .....

Thanks Donny and pooldv ..... From what I have seen on most of the pool websites I have visited they offer free shipping and no sales tax .... So if it has to be hard wired I will make sure I have the unit before the electricity is ran, and I think I can install it. If I run into any issue I...
