    Get an electric salt probe from amazon (the testing strips suck) or take a sample into Leslies. Compare it to the manufacturer's recommended levels in the manual to make sure you don't have to add salt (should only need to add a bag or two a year depending on usage or backwashing).

    Dumping acid bucket back into pool after cleaning cell?

    I had some calcium buildup and just cleaned my cell by putting it in a bucket with 5:1 ratio of acid to water (needed about half a gallon of acid). Is it ok to dump this bucket back into the pool if I need to add acid anyway?
