Yes it defiantly reduced the amount of worms and leaves, i would say about 50-75%. Used a 1/2 thick rope. Made it a lot easier to open the pool.

yes shocked at closing in mid October. but still ended up getting green in the spring, started turning green under the ice. think I'll try that way again this year, but top off the shock level before it freezes, have one of those robots to stir up the water.

what is the purpose of the cover? when it snows or rains, its still will get wet inside. I have the same problem where my springs are starting to rust a bit, I put a little vegetable oil to help prevent.

swimming pool antifreeze vs r/v antifreeze? whats the difference? is one more or less toxic than the other? what is the difference? or there is none? just realized r/v antifreeze is about half the price as the pool store antifreeze.

closed the skimmer with a plug. can i just put a bunch of noodles in there? empty gallon jug could be completly submerged in water. tight cap would limit compression. or that would be enough compression to absorb ice expansion? lose cap could let bottle fill with water

I plugged the skimmer with a rubber plug, now should i pour antifreeze and fill the skimmer up? or just throw a emplty plastic bottle inside? cap on or off?

anyone use there cyclone or might vac to blow out sprinkers? is it possible? as the sprinkler hook up line is small like air compressor line. would it have enough pressure to blow em out?

Just went to home depot and got the right pvc pipe to screw into the skimmer then just gonna ducktape hose the tube. This way i'll get way more pressure from the shopvac instead of thru that tiny hole in the gizzmo

Pool company last year did the blowing from the skimmer, so i wanna follow that way, seen videos for both ways though.
