    Clarifier instead of shock mistake

https://www.instacart.com/products/25896526-austin-s-pool-tech-clarifier-128-fl-oz This. It looks very much like and boxed like their shock I buy every year. It was stacked right with their shock so I thought I was picking up 4 cases of shock. I put two gallons in before I realized it wasn't...

    Clarifier instead of shock mistake

I just got back. I swapped out the unused clarifier for real shock. When can I start using shock? I know you are not suppose to use them at the same time and I only put two bottles in which probably isn’t a huge amount for a 40k pool. I want to put 2-3 bottles of liquid shock in when I get...

    Clarifier instead of shock mistake

Clarifier. I usually only use liquid shock 12.5%. There is no percentage but the bottles are 95% the same looking at the shock I buy every year and they were stacked in boxes of 4 with the labor of shock so I didn’t even look until I got home and poured some.

    Clarifier instead of shock mistake

I put a skimmer sock on the skimmer I don't usually use them as they fall off but I put it on until I get this situatated. I loaded the boxes up to return what I haven’t used. It said some type of polymer as ingredient but no percentages or anything. The pool is in rough shape but it always...

    Clarifier instead of shock mistake

Is liquid shock a floc? I just watched a video explaining difference between clarifier and floc, but I've never heard shock called Floc. I do plan on replacing my DE fins this year after I get the pool open and clean, we have had problems with low pressure, and think the fins might need to be...

    Clarifier instead of shock mistake

DE, which I noticed on the bottle it says don't use with de filters, but it was too late at that point, I already put two bottles in.

    Clarifier instead of shock mistake

I opened my pool and picked up 16 bottles of what I thought was shock only to find out after I put two gallons in my pool it is clarifier. My pool (~40,000 gallons inground) usually starts pretty green and takes me about a week to get it swimming ready. The bottles looked exactly like the...

How to not open to a green pool

I am using a safety cover, the black thick cover you stretch to cover the pool. I haven't tested the temp of the water, but it's probably mid to high 50's at best. Once I close, I don't touch it until it is open, I was under the impression you shouldn't add anything after as the filter isn't...

How to not open to a green pool

I’ve been using the troublefree method for 3 years now and I love it. But closing never works for me. Every time I open it is dark green. I can recover it in about 4-5 days but is forest green crayon green. Is there any way to prevent this or is this just what to expect in New England. I...

    First open

I used TFP last year with our new pool and it worked great. I took a peek under the cover and I can see the water is green. Not a dark green but more of a light green but hard to tell until I take the cover off. We are leaving for five days on Friday and I am not sure if I should try to open...
