Did you change anything (hardware, settings, etc) before your pump started leaking? How old is the pump? Has the motor ever been replaced? If so, did you add new seals at the time?

In my opinion, the problem with pump/filter combos is this... When something goes wrong with either the pump OR filter, you have to replace both. For that reason, I would suggest getting a pump and filter separately.
