    pool just finished, coping looks beat...

    My pool just finish in Dec 09. however after all deck pour and plaster install. The coping looks really beat. What can I do to make it look more fresh? My decking guy say I shouldnt seal it. it can be too slippery. My coping is a chocolate color concrete bullnose. you can kind of see it here.

    Right. Cleaning was a problem. I tried a few different ways for hours and it still streaks. Rain-X made it worse to clean too. So the only way to clean without streaks is to get a professional window Squeegee and washer with a cotton shaggie sleeve. The other side can be clean with the tools...

    4" too high with the coping installed? That is less that 1 step up.. about 1/2 a step really. you can have a flat deck but with a slight step up. which will be better than a sloping deck. Usually they will do a deck 3 ft + wide around the pool. a small step up to your pool will absolutely...

    Screening around pool equipment

    The best idea I've seen so far is to build a BBQ area in front of the equipment area. a 4-5' wall that also serves as a back splash for counter space will cover the equipement. If space and budget allows of course.

    are u doing the coping replacement yourself? That picture looks like a pour in place deck. you prob need to cut and remove at lease another 12 to 24 "of your decking to get a good clean coping form.. Stegmeier has a liner track and form system. Looks like that is exactly what you need...

    Day 53 Deck Pour. We have a flat back yard again.. :party: Wet Concrete. Contractor say it will lighten up a lot to a sandy color. I designed the Joint Lines when they were smoothing out the surface.

    Re: Questions for OP Thanks Lana. Coping is preformed concrete bull nose. color is "Chocolate" waterline tile is a "Sand" color tile. Ledger stone is just something that matches the Sand tiles. I will have regular white plaster finish when finish.

    Here in suburb, So Cal. Not much space. Try to do major construction without permits will not be wise around here. They will make you rebuild it. Pool is still curing after 1 week of shotcrete.

    PB told me that without a Fire Dept permit they have to install a 6" main drain and accessible to the Fire dept near the sidewalk in case they need to use the water for fire. I live in fire zone 4. (I dont know what that really means.)

    Still waiting for permits.. For some stupid reason the fire dept need a permit and need a pressure check on the nearest fire hydrant. ?!!!! The local Water Utility have to do the water pressure test and that will take about week or 2.. ?!!!! Arggg.. !!!! 2 week permit lead time now looks...
