    Polymeric sand with pavers

That is great information - thank you! We will most likely install ourselves, as well. They look similar to what we can special order from Home Depot, I will have to check the specs and see what works for us. We get contractor pricing from HD, but not sure how much for a special order item...

Vinyl Pool Builder in York/Lancaster/Harrisburg PA Area

I had my pool put in by Fox Pools - the Lancaster office. They run a special every spring and fall and I feel I received pretty good service and a great price compared to the other 4 places I got quotes from. If you want a contact name on who to talk to, feel free to message me.

    Polymeric sand with pavers

essejM3, that is exactly the look I am going for. Can you let me know who installed them for you or where you got them, what thickness and color they are? You are not far from me in Lancaster Co, any problems with freezing and heaving? Thank you for sharing the photo, it helps me to have...

    Polymeric sand with pavers

Yes, we have had the black sand installed under our paver walkway several years ago, and have had no lifting or heaving after a few winters. It's worked out well and I expect we would use that for under the patio area as well in order for it to be done right for our climate.

    Polymeric sand with pavers

We are thinking of installing tumbled travertine pavers for our patio next year since we want our ground to settle a bit after our pool dig this year. Is it possible for those of you with travertine pavers to post a pic on this thread? :-) Thank you!

Our first pool... 41' Mountain Lake [FINAL PICS ADDED]

Re: Our first pool... 41' Mountain Lake, Solar panels I am pretty sure it can be done after installation, as we are planning on changing ours too. We are just waiting for the weather to warm up a bit. The manual that comes with the light talks about how to remove the lens and reinstall it...

    16 x 32 Vinyl Installation

We've been enjoying the pool, and so have the pups (to some extent!). The grass has been coming up nicely. Working on increasing CYA slowly so that I don't overdo it. And we passed final inspection - so we are now legal! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If it was warmer out (and in the water) I would be enjoying them a lot more! But they are great - I am looking forward to a nice weekend coming up and hopefully the water will warm up a bit, too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Re: Our first pool... 41' Mountain Lake, Solar panels You're welcome. I realized that I have a photo of the colored light on my construction thread. You can see on page 2 how dark the shallow end is. 16-x-32-vinyl-installation-t42194-20.html

Our first pool... 41' Mountain Lake [FINAL PICS ADDED]

Re: Our first pool... 41' Mountain Lake, Solar panels I just had the same shape installed, also with 1 Intellibrite LED light, but a smaller pool at 16 x 32. PB assured me it would be bright enough, and that I did not need a second light (it was suggested to me on this forum that I consider...

    16 x 32 Vinyl Installation

While we are still waiting for final PB stuff, we finished installing the lights on our shed. I am hoping they come and finish the water bonding so that I can get my cert/occupancy from the township this week. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    16 x 32 Vinyl Installation

Our lawn guy came by today with his crew and did the final grading and seeding. I am very happy with their work! We thought about sod, but heard about so many people having it die after a year or two, so decided to just go with grass seed. Plus, we plan on putting in one or two patio areas next...

So apparently the PB was counting on the bonded ladder being used to bond the water. Township says that is not appropriate, which makes sense to me since the ladder can be removed. Sets me back a bit timewise, but I am glad they look for these things. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

 So the inspector did not pass us because he says the water is not bonded separately (or something like that). Is this normal? Even though everything else is properly bonded, the water is apparently not done so separately. Probably a week or so to get the part and get it done.

Yes the color is absolutely beautiful. Even the PB who had never installed this color loves the way it turned out. It's not even a color that they carry, but he went out of his way to get it for me. Can't wait to see it on a really nice day - its been cloudy here. I will be sure to wear my...

    16 x 32 Vinyl Installation

Thanks! We have no plans to add solar as of yet, although I think our shed roof would be an ideal location for the panels. But first I would really have to get over the thought of fastening anything on to the shed roof! The thought of possible leaks makes me shudder - but that's not to say...

Thought I would also share a close up of the liner. We went with Savannah Tile with Sandstone floor. It is sandy/beige/taupe colored, And I love the way it looks with water added! I could not be more pleased with it. Beautiful shades of aqua and light blue. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So while the inspector was here, he approved our fence and the door alarm. He could not approve the final electrical though due to the power outage. He did "fail" the gfci outlet which is supposed to be between 6 - 20 feet from the water's edge - ours is at 22 feet. So, the electrician has to...

It figures that we were supposed to have our final inspection today for the township certificate of occupancy - and there is a power outage! Over 5200 in the area with no power. Inspector can't test the final electrical. Grrrrrrr.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Our steps and wall from the pool area to the shed are done. We are going to be moving some of the boulders we found in the dig to locations around the yard today to complement the landscaping. I thought I would try out my new tap-a-talk app and upload photos of the completed walkway. Not...

    16 x 32 Vinyl Installation

Steps and wall are completely done now, and the walkway in front of the shed is almost done. It came out really nice, and I will have to post a pic this weekend. We used stepping stones in a pattern and filled with pond pebbles so that we don't have to mow in that area. PB stopped by today...
