That is great information - thank you! We will most likely install ourselves, as well. They look similar to what we can special order from Home Depot, I will have to check the specs and see what works for us. We get contractor pricing from HD, but not sure how much for a special order item...

I had my pool put in by Fox Pools - the Lancaster office. They run a special every spring and fall and I feel I received pretty good service and a great price compared to the other 4 places I got quotes from. If you want a contact name on who to talk to, feel free to message me.

Yes, we have had the black sand installed under our paver walkway several years ago, and have had no lifting or heaving after a few winters. It's worked out well and I expect we would use that for under the patio area as well in order for it to be done right for our climate.

We are thinking of installing tumbled travertine pavers for our patio next year since we want our ground to settle a bit after our pool dig this year. Is it possible for those of you with travertine pavers to post a pic on this thread? :-) Thank you!

We've been enjoying the pool, and so have the pups (to some extent!). The grass has been coming up nicely. Working on increasing CYA slowly so that I don't overdo it. And we passed final inspection - so we are now legal! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Our lawn guy came by today with his crew and did the final grading and seeding. I am very happy with their work! We thought about sod, but heard about so many people having it die after a year or two, so decided to just go with grass seed. Plus, we plan on putting in one or two patio areas next...

So apparently the PB was counting on the bonded ladder being used to bond the water. Township says that is not appropriate, which makes sense to me since the ladder can be removed. Sets me back a bit timewise, but I am glad they look for these things. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

:cry: So the inspector did not pass us because he says the water is not bonded separately (or something like that). Is this normal? Even though everything else is properly bonded, the water is apparently not done so separately. Probably a week or so to get the part and get it done.

So while the inspector was here, he approved our fence and the door alarm. He could not approve the final electrical though due to the power outage. He did "fail" the gfci outlet which is supposed to be between 6 - 20 feet from the water's edge - ours is at 22 feet. So, the electrician has to...

It figures that we were supposed to have our final inspection today for the township certificate of occupancy - and there is a power outage! Over 5200 in the area with no power. Inspector can't test the final electrical. Grrrrrrr.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Looks very nice! I like how the patio, pool deck and pool shape all flow together nicely.

Steps and wall are completely done now, and the walkway in front of the shed is almost done. It came out really nice, and I will have to post a pic this weekend. We used stepping stones in a pattern and filled with pond pebbles so that we don't have to mow in that area. PB stopped by today...
