    Any recommendations for reliable pool contractor to replace liner 20x40 inground, repair sunken concrete around steps, backfill under steps and re-coat / paint steps. I have quotes from Gator Pools and Designer Pools by Ace. Any guidance would be appreciated

    Adding Salt to a non SWG pool

    Thanks, pooldv I added pool salt to 2660 ppm. The water feels way better and does not sting eyes. Thanks again for all the great advice

    Jason Thanks for your reply. I am using aquacheck test strips for salt test. 1.8 was strip reading. = 600 ppm. I usually keep my FC at 8 ppm but i ran out of bleach. What about adding Borax ? or would you suggest salt ? Thanks Roallen61

    Thanks for advise I added 1/2 jug 12.5 % bleach pm. Then retested this am using extended CYA test. results from pool math suggest draining 60%. I also need to lower PH. Can I drop CYA by backwashing to waste say over 4-5 days days ? and should I adjust PH now ? I would like to keep...
