    SWG Fixed with Water Change

The power setting was at 3 and the volts went up to 25-27 with amps 7.2-7.7. I had a few readings with volts at 27 and amps at 5.9 which is when I thought I needed a new cell. On power 3, the amps should be close to 8. After the water change, I'm at 22V and 7.9a, which is where it was when new 2...

    SWG Fixed with Water Change

Chalk this one up to I have no idea. I have an autopilot SWG SC-60 which in AZ was working great at 25% and keeping TC 7-10ppm. Over the winter, the flow switch went bad and I had an algae bloom. Josh at Saltpoolguys.com, who is great, got me a new flow switch. I did the SLAM process and got...

    Does using CO2 raise TA?

I don't have any concern using HCl, but the thought of animating the process appeals to me and handling CO2 is less messy than keeping a bucket of acid hooked up to a Stenner pump. Given our water hardness, I'm really getting aggressive with keeping pH below 7.6 to keep me on the negative side...

    Does using CO2 raise TA?

I recently added borates to my salt water pool and as directed, I lowered my TA to 80. As expected, pH rise still occurs although more slowly with the borates. I add about 1/2 gal of 14% MA weekly to keep my pH 7.3-7.6 per Taylor 2006. My latest test results are: NaCl 3500 ppm, CH 320, Borates...
