Could someone tell me the difference between StoneScapes Aqua White Mini and Aqua White Small?

We just did the Aqua White Small Puerto Rico Blend. It is just beautiful in the sun. Opted to skip the abalone shells because of potential deterioration over time. Feels great on the feet, too.

    Pool is open!

Hi all - thanks to everyone who shepherded my wife and I through our construction issues. Our pool is now OPEN and is just beautiful. A little more landscaping needed, but heck, it's too hot to plant right now anyway. Have a great week everyone!

New Build - Tile/Coping Problems UGH

Hello again -- wanted to first thank everyone for the support and "shoulder to cry on". It is very much appreciated. So the inspector (retired pool builder of 30+ years who now specializes in pool leak detection) came out, and noted that the shotcrete work is excellent, plumbing, electrical...

New Build - Tile/Coping Problems UGH

Thanks for the information. Our excavation was just 2 weeks ago today, steel the next day, and concrete 2 days after that -- and they're already tiling. Is this saying that we shouldn't even start tiling for 28 days for the shell to cure? The other timelines definitely weren't adhered to with...

New Build - Tile/Coping Problems UGH

Thanks again for the reply. You know it's interesting. They did tiling and grout in one day. And they didn't show up until noon. We must be on the same page. I looked for empty bags yesterday. They didn't clean up their rock shards, buckets, extra tile or water bottles...but there is not one...

New Build - Tile/Coping Problems UGH

My wife just raised a real good point. They set the tiles and grouted 'em same day. Doesn't the thinset need to cure before grouting?

New Build - Tile/Coping Problems UGH

I appreciate the info everyone!! @Ajw, I did. Thank you for that link. What threw me was that I don't think they used thinset. I see lots of cement blobs in the pool, and no thinset (white) behind where the tiles popped off. But there were no thinset blobs either. Surely they'd have dripped...

New Build - Tile/Coping Problems UGH

Thanks for the quick replies. I really appreciate it. This helps us to start forming a response when the PB owner, his brother (ops) and construction foreman put us on the spot Monday. I was going to start with the cosmetics but I think that's secondary to the low quality of tile and coping...

New Build - Tile/Coping Problems UGH

Hi everyone! Been a lurker here for years. We finally took the "plunge" and are building a 19.5x36 rectangle using a well-reputed local PB. Things were progressing great until tile and coping yesterday. It looks awful. The gap between the tile and coping is huge, like 1.5-1.75" in places. The...
