Thanks! My CC is good, but still losing about 1.5 to 2.0 ppm on the OCLT. Guess I shouldn't let FC drift down, yet!

I'm about ready to call it clear!

Not every couple of hours, but I'll an eye on it! From this morning:

I did today and got 40. Been keeping FC at 16 +/-. Gonna vac again in the morning. Seems like there's a little bit of debris every morning that needs vac'd! At the rate of improvement, I'm thinking I may have a clear pool by the end of the weekend. - - - Updated - - -

Been a busy couple days.. maintaining proper FC levels for the SLAM. Vac and backwash at least every other day, first thing in the morning. Starting to see the bottom of the pool, around the edges! I'm hoping it will be swim-ready by July 4th!

Swept this morning and went to work. This afternoons readings: FC 13.5 CC .5 CyA 40 Added 60 oz of bleach to get up to 16 FC.

This morning- FC 14.5, and some how CyA up to 55? Cloudier than last night, for sure. Sorry, didn't do the CC (saw this too late). Adding bleach to get up to 22 FC! I'm wondering at this point if I should have just drained and re-filled the pool! We'll see what it looks like again after work.

Ha! No beer tonight, 3-hour biology = brain mush afterwards! I'll go edit that one! Water is cloudy, no real change.

Ok, sitting at 15.5 FC this morning, and pH of 7.6. Going to knock the pH down a bit with MA. Let's see if this works... This is after vacuuming this morning.

Since I have broomed and vacuumed the heck out of the pool, it is clean. Should I be backwashing during this process? I fear I will then have to refill, and "dilute" what I have going on in the pool. edit- Well, scratch that. I'm going to have to vac. to waste a bit this morning.

I found a local store that carries it, but didn't have time to get there before closing. Will pick some up in the morning. Might be a good day to take off and baby sit the pool! Thanks for all the help thus far!

I added the stabilizer last night when my CyA was <30, it was 33 this morning. The bottles of bleach are 8.3% Sodium Hypochlorite, date code is? It says MC 082 2333 in black ink, on the bottom. On the side, in black ink it syas A31615 IL-1 edit- just checked FC again. Down to 5. Added enough...

pH now at 7.2 This afternoon I've added nearly 200 oz of bleach and still can't get above 1.5 FC. Both times I used what PoolMath said. I can smell bleach in the pool when I get near it. Going to add 20 oz of stabilizer and call it a night.

I understand that CyA basically protects the chlorine, helps it not burn off in the sun. But, that you can over do it too. I didn't realize the correlation as you describe it. So, In the past couple of hours I've added what pool math says for pH of 7.4 and FC target of 5. Should I be adding...

I did have some cloudiness when testing. It's not much below 30... Wow! FC up to 7!
