    So about those vertical supports…

Thanks Casey and CJadamec! After it was all said and done, it was two pavers that were about 1/2" -3/4" above the others. Y'all convinced me to give it another go and get it right! Once I got that fixed, all was right with the world. THank you both for all your help! Maybe the storms this...

    So about those vertical supports…

Well. Today is the day. I'm going back in! Thankfully I haven't cut the hole for the skimmer or jet yet. I am going to try to leave the pool wall up, but will drain the pool and fold the liner inward. I'll try to kick the bottom of the track in a bit and stake where I can (shale is a real...

    So about those vertical supports…

Yeah I would have preferred that as well. We originally planned to, but the poles didn’t line up that way in the end. When I noticed that the bolts would be exposed, i went back and looked at the instructions and they made it seem that was from a cosmetic standpoint. Is there a structural...

    So about those vertical supports…

Ohhhhhh. So youre saying the left/right of the posts are causing them to go in/out? I just went around and checked for plumb left and right and I do see where some are anywhere from 1/4” to 1” our of plumb left/right.

    So about those vertical supports…

Not sure if this is of any benefit, but I just used my measuring tape and measured at the top of the post and the bottom of the posts and they are within 1/4" of each other. A circumference of 684" (top) and 684.25" (bottom). Using that math, it should theoretically just be a matter of pushing...

    So about those vertical supports…

Thank you! I just picked up a sump pump to drain the water out as fast as possible. Do you think that if I took the following approach it would work? 1) Drain water 2) Loosen top rails (while leaving posts secure on the top and bottom tracks and the liner in) 3) loop a strap around the bottom...

    So about those vertical supports…

I'm very concerned about the resin tops and bottoms stripping now that I've screwed and unscrewed so much and the fact that this pool wasn't super expensive (Target - Blue Wave pool). Do I have to take the posts off or could I drain the water (again), loosen all the top plates and then try to...

    So about those vertical supports…

The wall overlapped by an 1 or 1 1/2", so i just used the screwdriver through the holes trick to widen it back out. I REALLY don't want to have to take this thing completely down again. I don't know that my back, my pride or my friendships could withstand it. I am a very handy dude and this...

    So about those vertical supports…

Ugh. That would make the 4th time I’ve had the pool down. The wind (read: momentary light breeze), hosed me last week when it would blow a portion of wall over as my father in law and I did battle. I’m wondering if using ratchet straps on the bottom of the pool would sinch it in to get it...

    So about those vertical supports…

Yeah. I loosened all the top rails and then had someone push in his side to get it plumb, while I measured directly across the pool to get 18’ and then screwed it back down on both sides. Did that all around the pool. I started filling again hoping that the water would equalize and fix the...

    So about those vertical supports…

Update: I tried the ratchet straps but it did not do much. I also had someone help me measure from post to post across the pool and we were within 1/2” on every post pair except for one. Here are some pics. The pool looks pretty level on the top rail which is why the support posts are confusing.

    So about those vertical supports…

I’ve gotten my 18′ 52″ pool up (with the help of a small army) and started filling it up. Only to discover that the “eyeballed” plumbing of the vertical supports are all over the place and in some cases 2-4″ of being out of plumb within a 4′ level. I’ve tried taking the top rail loose in...

Chlorine tabs causing hives or rash? SWG?

Lol. Oh. It's not getting drained. It took me a couple days to fill. As luck would have it a storm has rolled in, so she doesn't want to swim all that bad. Maybe in the evening. We'll see. I went ahead and shocked the pool, if for no other reason than I haven't done so in over a week and...

Chlorine tabs causing hives or rash? SWG?

Lol. Easy. Easaaaasy there. It's 90-freakin-2 outside so I figured it was worth a shot. I guess the boss will have to wait till I can get my college level chemistry kit ordered. Maybe I can talk her into running the beer out to the pool when I'm empty. Jk. :) Sent from my iPhone using...

Chlorine tabs causing hives or rash? SWG?

Wow. I feel like such a newbie. Soooooooooo. In full disclosure, I don't have the tests that are mentioned via the link. I have always used a lot I bought from Home Depot I guess I need to prefer something more sufficient. It's really hard to tell if my CC too high using this kit.. Ugh...

Chlorine tabs causing hives or rash? SWG?

Soooo. I've had the pool up for almost my a month and the boss (wife) has broken out in a rash. We've had a pool for years, but we are starting to narrow down th causes. We Originally thought the hives were from stress. Now the kids have it after spending the day in the pool. Everything...

Anyone good out there with electrical issues (GFCI)

I'm with skitch. Replace the gfi breaker, but with a standard one., ASSUMING that you can put gfci recepticals on each outlet. I've seen many of times the gfci breaker failing, which impacts everything on that circuit. The best way to triage and how we always worked was standard breakers and...

To buy a mini fridge with OR without a freezer?! (Help!)

Perfect! That's what I was looking for... I did have some additional questions if someone else or you have feedback: Some additional questions: - Do you think it would actually keep ice? - Is the limited storage size worth it? - Would a cooler be easier more cost effective? - What else would I...

To buy a mini fridge with OR without a freezer?! (Help!)

I'm finishing up my bar and am hoping to pick up my new min-fridge this weekend. The question becomes, do I get one with a freezer or do I not? Me and the "bros" tend to drink a lot of beer, and the boss likes to make her fruity drinks that require ice. Does anyone have opinions as to...

Information Overload... To cut the skimmer gasket or to not cut the skimmer gasket?!

Ok. So far so good. I'm waiting for my photos to sync to show you how it's working now. Until then... Check out the way that they did it in THIS THREAD. I did the exact same thing and just "plugged/capped" the two smaller holes in the pics above. I consider myself pretty dang handy...

Information Overload... To cut the skimmer gasket or to not cut the skimmer gasket?!

Update: Everything has been a FAIL since around noon. I've made 3 trips to Home Depot and had followed directions for hard plumbing. I'm falling back to the soft tubing that came with the pool..> The problem is now I have cut holes in the pool to allow me to block the off those stupid small...

Information Overload... To cut the skimmer gasket or to not cut the skimmer gasket?!

Woooo... Well... I got it installed. Followed the instructions by using a screwdriver (narrow enough to slide through the holes of the face. It all came together in a matter of 15-20 minutes. I was very meticulous with the cutting. I haven't filled up the pool yet, as I had these stupid...
