Wrong comparator in my TF-PRO SALT?

The TFTestkits branded kits used to come with the Taylor 9781 comparator. Other members have posted pics of a different comparator with yellow and red covers for the comparator that they received with their TFTestkit kit. I have no idea if both are Taylor comparators or not. But they should...

Wrong comparator in my TF-PRO SALT?

OP has a TF-Pro Salt test kit. The TFTestkits used to come with the small Taylor comparator. I beleive (at least some) come with a non-Taylor comparator - but the R-0600 (chlorine) and R-0014 (pH) reagents are the same.

filter while water level is lower than skimmer?

Wait until the water level is sufficient for the skimmer to work. You don't want to pull air in thru the skimmer.

Wrong comparator in my TF-PRO SALT?

Looks like the reagents are the same according to the TFTestkits website , just a different brand comparator. Should work the same. Let's see what @Sarah and Nate can add to clarify.

    Clogged main drain?

From the pics, it appears the main drain is plumbed thru the skimmer - however, the main drain is plugged at the skimmer. It's possible there was a main drain leak and the main drain may also be plugged under the drain covers in the bottom of the pool as well. The popups will still work as...

Pop up cleaner: what does this black dealie do ?

That is a pause control knob for the top feed water distribution valve. Basically, it allows you to pause the popups on a zone of your choice. That zone would stay actife and the heads on that zone would stay stationary. In almost 25 years I think i used mine once - very early on just to see...

    What is this chemical?

Muriatic acid is usually in one gallon jugs or a box with two 1gallon jugs. Kem-Tek may be a brand name you can find. But any muriatic acid will work. Chances are you will find it in 31.45% or 14.5%. A hardware store, HD, Lowes, Menards, TruValue, Ace, whatever should also have it. Plain...

    Auto Fill Float Always Running

    What is this chemical?

pH Down is dry acid - do NOT use it. It will increase sulfates in your pool water and thise can harm your SWG, among other things. Get plain old muriatic acid.

My Yellow Mustard Experience- Still working On it...

Raising the FC level above level for your CYA isn't doing you or your pool any good. The is based on science and has been proven to work - if you actually follow the process. Adding excess chlorine above what the advises is a waste of chlorine and can actually damage equipment. Stick with the...

Help! - Black streaking in year old plaster

What does "maintain minimum chemistry levels" mean? For CYA 30, your FC needs to be 4-6. Dose for the high side of target so you don't fall below minimum before your next chlorine addition. I see you have lonked to your forum account, but there are no test results, only some chemical...
