I opened the sensor, cleaned and replaced, worked not for long and revered back to same codes. Still get good salt readings, 2.6. My thought is just to replace cell and sensor. One question though, on new sensor I noticed a small circuit board connected on the cable, this is for??

Started using salt system 4 -5 years ago. Checking unit saw two error codes 172 and 180. Need help to understand and what I should to to correct codes. Cell is probably at the end of its life, want to make sure I replace all that is needed.
