I did the saturation index and my pool water is actually corrosive. Increasing the calcium levels will help off set the corrosive environment.

You are right. The 4lb HTH granules is about $15 and would raise my 10,000 gallon pool by 40ppm. The liquid conditioner is almost twice the cost.
