    SLAM to kill mustard algae - CYA @100. Drain and reduce CYA?

    I'll start the drain/refil this afternoon. My assumption is that I should re-test everything before starting the SLAM - how long after the water replacement is complete should the pool circulate before I test and start the SLAM?

    Sorry mate - when I posted the check box for "Show Sig" was unchecked. Fixed ;) What is the desired CYA level? There is an automatic chlorinator and pucks are being used. I used pool math and found that I need to replace 60% to get down to 40.

    I've been battling mustard alage for the past month without success and after reading the articles at TFP, I know why. I picked up the Taylor 2006 kit and tested last night - here were my results: CYA - 100 ppm - tested 2x, 2nd time with 1/2 pool, 1/2 tap as recommended by the test kit. TA -...
