If there is a drain in the deep end where does the water go when you drain the pool?

Is it possible to have a permanent pipe connected to the backwash valve on the filter that is buried underground and runs to the street drain?Then you would not have to connect that Dang blue backwash hose.Is this something that has been done forever?
