I'm losing water through the backwash hose even if the handle is on filter. There is also a little bit of water around the handle. I'm thinking, I may need to change the gasket of the filter. If my model of filter can be changed. I've never done this. So I really need step by step instructions...

Hi, I think my spider gasket needs to be change, but my pool pump and motor are connected to my pool. How do I stop the water from going into the pump and filter so I can change the gasket? Thank you for your help.
