We debated the oval and round. We ended up going 32' round because the cost of the pool and install was considerably less than going oval. We don't regret our decision.

Have you decided against a deep end? That is something that I would recommend. It's nice to have that extra bit of cannonball room. :) (thanks for the link and compliments on the set up, Speedo)

I'm thinking unless you dig by shovel, you will have to remove more than just the liner. Additionally, that's A LOT of water to remove and replace. Plus the sand on the bottom would have to be replaced. I would be hard pressed to go through all of that after the pool has already been installed.

Putting the lid down appears to create a vacuum seal of some sort in the skimmer. The skimmer lid is suctioned down on top of the basket area once I turn the pump back on.

Would I still put both skimmer lids down or just the one that I'm vacuuming through?

Ok, so I ordered the Kruiser and it came today. And I'm a little confused (again, as usual :) ) I have a Doughboy with two skimmers. When I vacuum I have been putting the skimmer lid down on both skimmers, attaching the manual vac hose to the skimmer port and just vacuuming that way. It works...

Thanks Ike. Can you use inground cleaners for above ground pools? Could you use AGP cleaner in an AGP with a deep side?

I've looked at a few online and I'm not really sure what I'm looking at. I see some say they are for inground and some for above ground. The ones for above ground have generally mentioned for flat bottom. I have an above ground with a deep end. Does anyone have any recommendations?

That's a hard question to answer. :-) We used two fill pools, emptied those into the pool, had the install delayed, refilled the two pools before they came back. They brought another large pool and pumped the water out into that one while reseating the liner. Then pumped all those pools back...
