Normal for Hayward vsp to get air in strainer basket on lower speeds??

I am getting bubbles on the returns to me pool on low speeds. I see air in strainer basket when running low speeds. I'm assuming that's my reason for bubbles in the returns. Is this normal behavior on the Hayward vsp pump?

Jan 2025 IG pool build in Georgia, need liner re set!!!!

So a bit of a sidenote. Liner was installed when it was a bit cold. There were some wrinkles on the steps, and 2 corners not tight at the water line. Yes, it's in the track, but it's not tight. Builder is saying they can reset the liner. They will drop water down to the shallow end bottom, and...

From a Basic Lawn to Private Resort - We Have A Pool! Controlling Pollen...

@elleb You have a beautiful pool! I do have a question though. This year will be my 1st down here in GA with a pool. Up north we closed it, and forgot about it. I would like to do that, but my wife is fighting me on that. So i will give it a go this year, and re access. How often were you...

    Endless small bugs in pool

Must be an issue in ATL this year. I am south of ATL, and noticed these all around the edge of my liner last evening after the rain. At 1st I thought it was pollen, but then noticed them moving into round clusters. Guess its time to get the backpack sprayer out. Last year we had a horrible...

An Introduction to My Pool - Old Plaster - Old Pool - Black Algae !

I understand your on a budget, but all that work on the pool, and your leaving the old concrete decking? What's the plan for that?

    How do decide on builder?

Using an ic60 will not burn out quicker. That's the most idiotic statement I have ever heard. BUT, on that note, an IC40 is rated for 40K gallons, you pool is around 27k gallons, so the IC40 is definitely capable. Sure bigger is better, but the IC40 will do just fine for your pool. Also, any...

Pool under construction - should I not use flagstone on our water feature wall?

No, not trolling. And someone mentioned completely staying away from natural stone. They made it sound like it's a big mistake. My point was natural stone is, and can be used.

Pool under construction - should I not use flagstone on our water feature wall?

I'm not trolling. I see lots of pools with natural stone. Do they need some maintenance? Sure, but what doesn't? Especially with a pool.

    Repairing VS Pump Drive PCB

Its the IRAMX1 board. Almost guarantee it. Replaced mine 4 years ago on my other pool. and she ran like a champ until I sold.

Pool under construction - should I not use flagstone on our water feature wall?

So I guess all the pools I see with natural stone are built wrong?

Salt levels increasing on their own

Water was 62 when added. It's now hovering between 76 and 88, depending on what I have the heater on. I'll continue to monitor it.

Salt levels increasing on their own

LMFAO, That's why I am here asking for some possible reasons. I know my wife isn't throwing bags of salt in. How can I go from 3200 to 3900 in a week? Both tests were done comparing my SWG reading, Taylor k1766, and my local pool store. All within 100 ppm of each other.

Salt levels increasing on their own

I must have not had enough coffee today. I bought 12 bags, put 9 bags in. I was at 3200 a week after dumping the 9 bags in. That was around Feb 24. Since then its climbed as high as 4600 PPM. Other than 1 jug of bleach added a couple days ago, NOTHING was added. I was as low as 3200 again, after...

Salt levels increasing on their own

Sorry, I meant i have the K-1766. I typo'd strip. So then where is the salt coming from???? ONLY thing i added since opening was 12 bags of salt to bring it to 3000ppm, 1 jug of 7.6% bleach when 1st filled, and another jug last week. NOTHING else. Although......The 2 foot back wall of my pool...

Salt levels increasing on their own

My cell is actually within 100 ppm of the taylor K1766 test every time I measure. Only thing i added recently was a gallon of bleach to raise chlorine level, due to me slacking on checking levels. I bet there is calcium chloride in the kool deck. Who knew I had an automated salt adder. :ROFLMAO:

Salt levels increasing on their own

So I have never had an issue like this on my previous pool that had pavers. My brand new build, and my levels keep rising. I have had it tested at a store, using reputable test strips, and my SWG level indicator. They are all withing 3% of each other. I went from 2800 2 mos. ago, to 4600 at its...

    How do decide on builder?

Main drains are code in some states, so you might not be able to eliminate them. If installed properly your liner will need to be replaced before a leak develops at the main drain. Leaks almost always happen at the light. Don't concern yourself about that though, as cuts need to be done at...

    Aiper Seagull Pro recall

So they are replacing units with a newer, LOWER model? Yikes. Glad I waited on buying one of these. I will stick with my corded vac for now. That's some shady business.

Anyway to remotely control hayward Tristar VS900?

Wondering if this will work. Power into switch, then POS and neg power from that to n01 com1. Then from thancom1 and nc1 to input 1 on pump. And so so for each input. Thoughts??
