Is the Chlorine from Home Depot ok to use? Not sure if it’s like regular chlorine bleach or if I should stay away from it. Please advise!

Thank you. I searched the forum and found the other posts. I knew not to buy it...I just grabbed a few bottles and that was the only one splashless, just didn't realize. Pool chemicals tested perfectly so I'll just keep my eye on it.

In error, I purchased splashless chlorine and poured a bottle in the pool last night. This morning, around the bubbler, there are bubbles, like the pool water is soapy. I will test and post numbers. Any initial ideas? I'm worried I may have messed something up.

Our pool start up was yesterday (this is my second pool). I don't know when the guy is coming out again. Should I do the daily water chemistry myself or leave the start up to them and then take over once they're done? I used the TPF method with my last pool and maintained water levels myself...

We've moved and this is our second pool build. We've building the same exact pool as we had before. The equipment will be updated once I have all the info.

OK Update - Skimmer valve was leaking, they replaced it, put the PSI pressure to 25. That doesn't really answer my question on why the ground next to the skimmer was wet. I guess I'll look at the pressure valve this afternoon and see what it is....

Looks like you got a chipped edge on your coping. BTW, we paid EXTRA for that!! The smooth edge was what came with the pool where you would not have any chips or marks.

Our gunite was poured for our second pool build 9/24/16. It still has some places where it's weeping and it looks like it has calcium build up. I'm not an expert, but should something be done about this? Wouldn't this weeping affect the plaster once they put it on top? Picture attached. You can...

OK here are the results from this morning an a pic. Today's numbers: FC: 6.8 PH: 7.6 TA: 70 CYA: @53 I did also perform an Perform the Overnight FC Loss Test - no loss of chlorine The pool looks much clearer this morning. Thoughts now?

I'm using the Taylor 81-330 and for chlorine I use the R-0870 DPD test. My CYA is normally around 50-55 and it is still so, I just did the test. The calcium hardness is 330. Thoughts? Do I shock? Leave the pump on high, or... something else?

We're in Austin, TX and have been getting massive amount of rain. My pool looked fine this morning. Now the water looks very cloudy - I can hardly see the Polaris at the bottom. If I had to guess, I think the water from my yard may have been running into my pool? Just a guess as we were not...
