I agree QingGuy, it has been a cooler year. Along with that darn wind blowing ALL the time. I’m pretty sure this is the main culprit with my pools heat loss. At 5 or 10 percent humidity and constant wind, evaporation zaps the heat right out of the pool.
If you’re looking to warm up your pool...
QingGuy, it may seem that easy, but unfortunately it's not. Computers, tablets and smartphones all have some similar ways they operate on the outside, but they differ in many ways on the inside. I'm pretty sure this is why they created APP's. If you try to download the Screenlogic file into the...
JVTrain,
If disconnecting power to my ScreenLogic Interface is called restart, then yes, I restarted it.
Unfortunately, I'm not getting a warm fuzzy feel now, since reporting this issue to Pentair the tech
didn't suggest a restart/reboot. This is going to be the first thing I do the next time I...
Much appreciated comments fellow members and thank you all for your thoughts.
Richard, you might have solved it for me. I didn't run across anything that directly mentioned how to reboot the ScreenLogic
system in the manual, although it’s probably there and I just missed it. What I did do was...
Jason, you’re saying “presumably”?
I have reconfigured the ScreenLogic as I first mentioned and the main panel displays: (IntelliChlr, Enable: No)
Also, I was not receiving any alarm notices prior to the initial connection of the SWG. Just seems like it shouldn't be sending
any SWG notices...
I have removed my IC40 SWG for the winter and I also reconfigured Screen Logic so the SWG is not connected,
but I’m bewildered as to why I’m receiving Pentair Alarm Notifications in my email after doing this.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Here are the errors I’m receiving in emails...
We couldn't be happier for ya sgtolv. The pool looks super!
You have done yourself proud for sure and many thanks for the kudos.
Enjoy the rest of the summer, TC
Same plumber did mine and it's plumbed in the same manner. I have been meaning to get in touch with him as I keep getting alert messages from my automation system, (low flow) error. I'm also questioning the high percentage output setting I need to keep the proper chlorine level. I thought since...
The project is looking great and your kudos are very much appreciated , Bulldogz. Hope the rough plumbing went well and you haven't been plagued with the rain we've been getting lately.
Hi sgtolv,
Your project is really looking GREAT! You and the family will be enjoying the refreshing water soon I’m sure. Plus, the satisfaction of being an owner builder and the cash you saved.
Totally appreciate your shout out sent our way. It was very nice meeting you both and I’m sure...
Update for Windows 8 phone users like me.
I found an inexpensive way around this issue. There is an app called PC Remote, it’s free or you can pay $3 for the Pro version, but once installed will allow the user to view their computer screen and operate the Screenlogic program via their Windows...
Measure the plug to get a good estimate of the size, my plug was an 1 1/2". Run down to your nearest Home Depot and pickup a couple different sized sockets from what you measured. You will also need an extension long enough to get to the plug and a ratchet too (if you don't have them already)...
LOL, Casey.
No, we have lots more. Which we'll be posting.
Unfortunately, for now, my bleeding and over worked hands are in need of much rest, lol..... Oh, not kidding, unfortunately.
Thanks for the complements ya'll

Officially finished! As far as the building department is concerned that is, but we still have plenty of landscaping to finish up.
Thankfully, we're seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and it sure looks good.
We decided to finish off the pool with a medium gray plaster and the water...
Hi TS,
Welcome to the forum. Your pool looks great!
As for the plumber, sounds like you have things under control by requesting the PB be there to oversee his work.
Hopefully this will be the last of any issues you have during your build.
Enjoy

Thanks Jerry,
I appreciate your input on this matter, but I don't believe the Autelis device
would solve my need for an App for the Windows 8 smart phone to control
the pool/spa equipment with the Pentair Screenlogic device.
Thanks for the input Jerry,
I will be able to access the Screenlogic program via my laptop, once its setup,
but I didn't want to use my laptop as the control pad outside.
I would rather use my smart phone.
This is truly a sad day for all Windows 8 phone users. After talking with the good folks at Pentair, the tech informed me they have no current plans to develop a Windows 8 phone App for the Screenlogic automation system users. I thought maybe we could hold out for awhile before purchasing...
Finally, we have picked out a wonderful tile, NPT Fusion FS-Pinwheel mosaic tile.
The tile will be used as an accent 3" wide by 6" high in the waterline followed
by two 6" x 6" porcelain tiles. We also plan to use the tile in the raised wall with
a 3 foot sheer waterfall.
Now for our concerns...
Hi all,
We're looking for recommendations on a local service tech to do pool/spa startup for new built.
Hoping to startup end of February or first part of March.
Thanks for any and all input.
Hi jmpoling, will this be your first owner built pool? Have a planned start date?
We found even after all the research we had done and we had done lots, at least we feel we did. We are still finding eye opening things we didn't know. Wish we would have joined this forum long ago, along with...
