Sorry about that...you'd think after being on forums for years I'd know better. :)

    About 10 days in...questions...

Hey guys/gals, So I decided to go the TFP way. I've been testing my water every day, usually twice. Within the first 5 days I got my CYA up to ~35. I used the instant liquid stuff, which worked great...the dot test on my TF100 (or whatever the test kit they sell here at the store) took a...

Help with (seemingly extra) liner above water line?

Can't believe nobody has any experience with this...I must be really good at pool building. ;-)

FINALLY got my water level up past the skimmer...go time!

So, my poor old well has expelled the last of the 13,500 gallons needed to fill the pool. The DE filter is humming along, and charged with 4 lbs. of DE. I threw in a bottle of bleach and a bottle of 'instant conditioner'. I took some initial readings. This was about an hour after adding the...

Help with (seemingly extra) liner above water line?

I think that either I didn't have the liner aligned right and it's stretched tight in parts and twisted in others and/or I built my berm around the bottom a little too tall and the liner just has a little extra around the top. It's a v-bead liner... Anyway, was wondering if anyone could lend...

Help with (seemingly extra) liner above water line?

Hey guys, So my pool is full and was able to finally turn on the filter. About 60% of the liner looks great, above the water line. The other 40%...well, it looks like this: - - - Updated - - - And this...

Finally have the water level for filtration...excited to get up and running...Q's...

Thanks for that. So, the HTH brand @ Walmart looks to be 15 oz for $15ish...and poolmath says I need ~56 oz. So, that's be 4 of those cannisters or $60. For liquid it says I need 140oz. and a gallon is $25...so I'd have to buy 2 gallons, which would be $50. Am I missing something?

Finally have the water level for filtration...excited to get up and running...Q's...

Hey folks, So I finally have enough water in my 24 ft above ground (13.5k gallon) pool to turn on the filter. Have a Hayward DE filter, 3/4 HP pump My pool was filled with my well. The pH is 7.8 FC is...well, gone every day. ;-) CYA is 0 I'd like to get in this thing as soon as possible...

Liner looks weird on top...like there is extra?

Hey guys, I put up a 24 ft round pool and the liner seems like it has too much material at the top. Where I need to cut for the skimmer, now that I'm almost filled, it's billowed out quite a bit. Kind of worries me. It's a v-bead that is sized for my pool. Maybe I made the mound around the...

True...but it's less than half full, as per the initial post. Thanks though! I need all the help I can get on this one. :)

Thank you again! BTW, this is the best-selling test kit on Amazon...worth it? http://www.amazon.com/Poolmaster-22260-Basic-5-Way-Test/dp/B00107039U/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1402414561&sr=8-1&keywords=pool+test+kit

    Need some newb help. :)

So, for the time being, should I add that amount probably every day? Or rather, add more every day as the volume increases?

Thanks for the reply! So it says to add like 2 cups and 7 oz...could that really be enough?

    Need some newb help. :)

So I just built my pool a few weeks ago. And by built I mean I had a bunch of guys come help me put the physical structure up. It's a Wilbar (Sharkline or somesuch) 24' x 52' above ground. Over the course of the last few weeks, I've been filling it, and it's about 1/2 way full right now. Ha...

Started work on my 24" AGP...

Exactly right. That was revision 2. The windshield washer fluid and a higher hose mount were key...otherwise everytime you moved it, it'd spill out the top. But yet, I drove a stake, bungee corded a board to it, wire tied the hose to the board and then to the tamper, and put them side by...

    Electrical...wiring.

Thank you guys. I was able to find some info online, including a great tutorial with pictures on the neutral isolation...straightforward once you can see it, that's for sure! Thanks again. :)

    Electrical...wiring.

Thank you for the replies. So talking about floating the neutral...this means I don't hook that wire up in the box...got it. But would I think hook it up to the circuits I have going out? Or would it just be an unused wire in the box?

    Electrical...wiring.

Hey guys, So, I'm in the midst of my pool install. The electrical for the pool consists of a single 3/4 HP 110v pump. There is a shed about 10 feet from the pool. I was thinking I would run a 30a subpanel into the shed, probably using 10 gauge wire in conduit, so I don't have to dig 2 feet...

Started work on my 24" AGP...

So I removed the sod a while back, and used it to fill in spots in my yard...all over the yard. That took some time. Then, I made a water-level and realized that, even though the area looked level...it wasn't. It was about 8 inches out across the 26 foot I dug up. And it's shale. Doh! Here...

Started work on my 24" AGP...

I posted in another thread, but should have posted it here. I have a hole I have to fill in...used to be a clothes line pole concreted in, now it's a 2 ft deep fire pit. I need to obviously fill it before i really get going on the pool. Does anyone have any good ideas on how I should fill it...

Need advice...filling a hole that will be under the pool

Hey folks, So i had an old clothes line pole sunk in the ground about 2 feet with concrete. I yanked it out with my truck and used it as a fire pit for about a year. Now, I'm needing to fill it in as I level the ground for the pool. Any thoughts on the best way to fill it in? My cousin...

Started work on my 24" AGP...

Well, the battle has begun. Placement has been selected and sod has been removed... Next step...figure out how to level it. I'm thinking I'll build an easy water level...but have also seen the '2x4' method. :)

Rounding the Corner... Install Completed 7/27/13

Quick question...what did you put down on top of the sand before the liner and why? We just purchased a sharkline 24 ft round this week and I'm researching about putting it up myself. Yours turned out great! :)
