    Main Drain Fix - Upwards angle?

    I'm not 100% sure but it's either the main drain, it could in theory be the skimmer line aswell, it's hard to identify. But it's absolutely a line coming from the pool to the pump. I couldn't get the water out of the pipes until I drained the pool. Not following why is the main drain unnecessary?
