It did come with the wireless connection kit. However, I generally prefer to wire stuff when possible. But given the risk of frying the board it sounds like it's not worth it.

Should I wire in the Intellicenter to ethernet? I was thinking of going that route and using a ubiquiti surge protector on the RJ45 line. https://store.ui.com/us/en/products/ethernet-surge-protector

There is a check valve between the heater and chlorinator - you can't see it from the picture because it's hidden behind the tab chlorinator. I'll ask about a 3-way heater bypass.

That is T pipe I'm going to use for a stenner injector. It will be used to add acid with timed intervals. I will have it set up using Alexa routines - inspired by one of your posts :) PB said they always include the tablet chlorinator for use at start up and winter. I don't plan on using it...

How much space should I allow from my equipment pad to the fence blind? PB says 3 feet. That sounds about right.

Gunite is complete. Got some rain in the forecast so that should help me keep it watered down.

Despite my best effort, we had a partial cave-in. No more rain in the forecast. Gunite is scheduled for Monday. PB said gunite crew will shot the top sections to shore up the dirt and then dig out the cave-in.

Looking for some opinions on tread depth. We will have a 4' shallow end and the PB has 4 steps into the shallow end. The bottom three will have a tread depth of 16" deep and the top is 30" deep. I'm proposing adding a 5th step which would make the bottom 4 steps 14" deep and the top step would...

    Why run your pump 24/7??

With the Pentair VS pump, what is the best way to run it 24/7? Do you have a schedule with it set to run 24/7? or no schedule and just manually turn it on and never turn it off?

New Pool Build - North Dallas

I'm in the process of a new build that includes the IntelliChlor IC40. Should I insist on having the PB install the 2025 version of the IntelliChlor with the latest updates? PB seems to think going with the latest tech from Pentair isn't such a great idea - as they need time to work out the...

Hanna Industries BL100 pH controller and dosing pump

Oh good to know about the 15% off - not in a rush. So did you install the injector before or after the SWG? I was thinking of putting the injector before the SWG to help clean the SWG as the acid gets injected. I checked out the Rola-chem and even called their customer service about a vented...

Hanna Industries BL100 pH controller and dosing pump

I'm thinking of doing a BL100 with a 7.5 gal stenner tank. How easily did this pair with the stenner tank? Did you drill a single hole for the 1/4 tube and use the stenner cap it comes with for venting? What do you do when the pool is in spa mode? Will it shut off the aux relay for the BL100...

New Pool Build - North Dallas

Thanks, Jim. I like the idea of putting a shed around it. Should I set it up with acid automation from the start? It will be SWG so I'm anticipating the need to regularly add acid. I'm considering a simple Stenner pump style feed but not totally sure how to set it up. Can I just put it on a...

New Pool Build - North Dallas

What's the consensus on the location of the equipment pad - is it better in the current location away from the house and near the fence? Or would it be ok next to the house? I'm concerned about noise if it's near the house as it would be near a bedroom. However, next to the house does tuck it...

I tried to nix the waterfall early on, but got overruled. I've been told it will get used :) - I'll let you know if that's the case in Jan 2026.

Thanks for the feedback. I think the swim lane is a great idea. We are trying to rework that entrance into something more functional. I don't know what the "Clear Water Stop" is, I'll have to check on that. I assumed something to waterproof it.
