Type of Tubing for Acid Injection

My pumping system for acid injection uses what appears to be polyethylene tubing from the pump to the injection port. After about a year of use the tubing seems to be a little brittle and is cracking where it attaches to the pump. Is the polyethylene tubing the best option or would I be better...

    Acid Feeder Winterizing

Does anyone know what the freezing temp of Muriatic Acid is? Or, in my case the acid in my Acid Feeder tank is 1/2 Muriatic Acid (31.45%) and 1/2 Water. I plan on removing the system when we get deeper into Winter, but we typically don't get any really cold (relative, I know) temps here in the...

    Jandy Aquapure help

Do you have the Jandy PDA Remote? When my system is running on one of the timed programs entered in the PDA, the only way I can adjust the SWG output is through the PDA program. The up/down arrows will not adjust it. I have to go into the PDA programming mode to "Set Aquapure". I don't know...

Benefits to the Speedstir for the Tf-100

Thanks for confirming that it is in fact always supposed to spin.... mine works great when it does.... when it doesn't.... not so great. I was actually lamenting the purchase, but judging from all the other reviews, I'll love it if/when I get it to work properly.

Benefits to the Speedstir for the Tf-100

I have a question about the speedstir... I got mine on Friday, installed the supplied batteries and tried it out. Is the little "pill" that goes in the bottom supposed to spin constantly? Mine will sometimes spin, but more often than not it will get hung up and just kind of vibrate in one...

    Solaxx PH Tek Acid Feeder

    Lowering TA/ Aeration

I've recently started up the SWG on my fairly new pool. My most recent test results are as follows: FC: 3.5 CC: 0 TC: 3.5 TA: 100-110 CH: 250 CYA: 60 Salt: 3,300 PH 7.8-8.0 Comparing these numbers to the suggested levels for SWG Pools in the Pool School article, I plan to add a little...

    Implementing a new SWCG

New IG gunite pool owner... plannning to add salt and start up the SWCG in the near future and I have a couple of questions. One, I used a test strip to check the current salt content of the pool prior to adding any salt. It indicated 800 ppm... the SWCG which is set to 00% production...

    Better Late than Never

Waste, I figured the $30 ($20 considering the discount on the TF Kit) to become a lifetime supporter was a no-brainer for all the valuable information I've already gotten from the site. Yes, I am waiting on the salt due to it being a recently plastered gunite pool (Sig Edited). I don't...

    Better Late than Never

New member here.... pool just finished a couple of weeks ago in the DFW area. I found this site after most of the construction was complete. Consequently I ended up with some features of the pool that will not be used, but I will be able to adapt easily to the BBB system. When I started...
