    I have just come across the fairly new bleach tablets at walmart. 32 tablets for $2.97. Could these be used in a floating chlorinator? Is so this would have the convenience of pucks without adding anything else to the water.

    Yes in full sun until about 6pm and my Taylor k 2006 only has TC which has been at 0.5 for awhile.

    Yes same prices here in Southern IL at rural king. 9.99 for 4 gallons is about 2.50 each for 10% which makes it cheaper than a gallon of 6% bleach.

    I have become very familiar with my test kit k 2006 but I have one question. The alk is supposed to turn red when you put the drops in. Mine only turns pink. If I add one more drop it turns bright pink but never red. So what's up with that and how do I get an accurate reading?

    OK RESULTS! It was pouring rain last night and my first adjustment didn't get up to 15 so had to add more liquid chlorine at 12am. Got FC up to 15.5 CC -1. 7AM FC 13.5 and CC 1. It rained all night so don't know how that affected results but there they are. Still rainy and dark this morning...

    I mentioned the strips as they showed no FC same as the Taylor today. I didn't know how to proceed when the sample didn't turn pink as the test directs you what to do after it turns pink. If you have no FC and it doesn't turn pink what steps do you do then? After dosing with liquid chlorine...

    So kit is here and I am having trouble. Ph was easy and was 7.4. Alk was supposed to turn red when you added drops. at 16 drops it turned pink so kept going...stopped at 20 when it was bright pink...never got red. So the directions for Free chlorine say when you add powder if FC is present it...

    The problem I am having now is I had the FC up 10-15 2 nights in a row recently. Did this shock because chlorine was disappearing in the day. Anyway, Checked it at 12am was holding, checked it at 6 30 am, still holding. Checked it at 11 30am and it was down to 1. Did the same the next night...

    Is there any difference between baquacil sand filter cleaner and any other sand filter cleaner. I still have a new bottle (the kind you backwash through the sand) but sure don't want to add more baqu goo after all this work.
