Use a saltwater chlorine generator, even though the pool isn't salt water?

Got done cleaning filter cartridges, put back together, turned on pump ,opened pressure valve till water came out. Shut valve back off of filter. Water started just gushing through the chlorinator and won't stop unless I turn off the pumps. This has never happened

Got done cleaning filter cartridges, released pressure. Shut off filter pressure valve. The. Decided to check chlorinator to see if I had enough tablets. Turned on pumps, normally water slowly rises to the top then I cap it. Water is gushing through it so much and fast . Anyone help?

It's time to clean our filters, we have a Pentair Clean & Clear filter system. In the past we've removed the Drain Plug, release the pressure. Then remove the filters to clean. Last time we had a leak bc we couldn't tighten the plug enough. I've read some don't remove the plug but pump the...

Is it recommended that I use a product of some sort to spray on the filters, let sit then use a hose to rinse? I've heard of this but wasn't sure it's actually advisable and if so what do you recommend? We have a pentair free and clear plus with 4 filters.
