I have already disassembled the resistor. I used alligator clips to connect to the leads of the thermistor wiring as shown in other posts. I did this correctly.

You are correct, it is 9.5k ohms. Heater never starts its sequence, but led shows temp bouncing around. Temp at ET shows correct water temp.

I've had several Polaris cleaners in my previous home and when we purchased a new home it had a Pentair Platinum (4-wheels). By far the Platinum is better than the Polaris. It seems to clean much better, stay upright and less problems. I would buy another Platinum for sure over a Polaris.

Just to resurrect this post, I got my Gas Meter upgraded to a larger size by Centerpoint in Houston. It is a 2# reduce to heater via regulator. My heater was not working prior to the meter upgrade and it really confused me. It was working several months before, but not after about 3-4 months...

I believe the line from the meter is 1" and it is reduced to 3/4". See picture above of my heater gas line. The distance from the meter to the heater is less than 5'.

the meter is located about 5' from the heater. We don't smell gas at the meter or heater when not running.

Ok, but the heater ran fine a few months ago and we don't have any issues in the house (we have gas dryer, two tankless water heaters, gas furnaces....) I will call my gas company for an upgrade.
