    maybe I got too confident

Free chlorine at 9:30 last night was 5.0 (SWCG had been off for about four hours at that time) Free chlorine this morning at 7:00 was 4.5 (SWCG off all night)

    maybe I got too confident

thank you JJ-Tex. Will do the overnight test and will report back, but for my education - what is it that suggests algae is the issue? Looking at the water and the pool surfaces I don't see anything green (or black or yellow). What should I be looking for?

    maybe I got too confident

We are in our third season with our pool (in-ground, 15000 gallons, vinyl liner). I have told everyone who asked that keeping a pool crystal clear was not that hard as long as you kept up with testing, and up to now we've never had a problem. But the water temperature went from low 80s to upper...

I hate to put this stuff in a landfill

We bought a house with an older pool and have had to replace various stuff. In my shed I have a pump motor, a salt water chlorine generator board, a salt water chlorine generator cell, and a display board. I hate to just junk them. Does anybody rebuild stuff like this?

Is my aqua rite in error?

Just curious - did you install a Hayward board or a Pureline board? I get the same weird E000 and - - EE. I installed a Purelinr board.

No chlorine being generated and salt reading as zero

It took me a while, but I have a Pureline T15 equivalent installed. Readings this morning: 2200 082 21.8 -5.26 100P 2600 PLO R016 T15 The only continuing issue is the new board reports the temperature at a constant 82. That is not correct. But chlorine is being generated so I needed the new...

No chlorine being generated and salt reading as zero

The cell seemed ok until I changed the board. Do cells quit suddenly?

No chlorine being generated and salt reading as zero

That's unfortunate. I bought it from inyo pool - Pureline Replacement Main PCB, Compatible with AquaRite™ GLX-PCB-RITE - PL7100 So if I trash that and replace it with a Hayward board that would solve the problem?

    I never thought I would own a pool . . .

. . . but we had to buy a house in a hurry due to a relocation and the only one we could find that we could afford and we could actually purchase during the housing frenzy last year has a pool. I've had a year of intense learning and lot of fun in the pool. I'm glad we got it! I just wish I had...

No chlorine being generated and salt reading as zero

AquaRite is reading 0.0 for salt. I test 3000 ppm with the Taylor sodium chloride test and the pool store tests 2900 ppm. The cell is a T15. I installed an aftermarket board about two weeks ago (with the old board there was no power). After it was installed the temperature reading was stuck at...
