    Leaving town, should I turn pump off? (Pool under tree)

    Hi Folks, I clean my skimmer basket twice daily because my pool is under two trees and has lots of leaves. If I am leaving town for a few days should I turn the pump off? I am worried about damaging the pump if the basket is clogged. Thanks.
