    Matrix 54 dimentions

If you're also looking at 54", but of course the Heritage instead of the Matrix, then it should measure the same. Just ensure you're looking at the 54" not the 52" and you should be good. Maybe someone else can confirm this is correct, but I'm quite confident this is the case.

Time for a new pump - need your thoughts

Generally you would use the existing cord from your current pump though you can also just buy a new cord in whatever length you need. That pump is not programmable you would want to get a dual speed timer as well. Pumps are pretty plug and play other than maybe needing to adjust your piping if...

Yeah the tennis ball trick is pretty cool! I just learned it recently myself.

I like the Pentair system just for reliability. Though I somehow missed that you had Jandy automation. Have you looked at an AutoPilot salt system? They make some really awesome systems. I'm not 100% sure if they will integrate with Jandy automation, anyone know?

    newbie with sunscreen questions

A great trick I learned to keep some of it out of your filtration system is to float a few tennis balls in the pool and a handful in each skimmer. The green fuzz on the tennis balls will soak up quite a bit of the sunscreen. Then when they start getting slimy just thoroughly wash or replace them!

If it were me I'd go Pentair for both. IC40 and IntelliFlo.

Has anyone hooked a flow meter to a pool with an Intelliflo?

Re: Has anyone hooked a flow meter to a pool with an Intelli Ahh, ok. Thanks! I'm still trying to figure out the basics of flow rates and such so I can help out customers with questions, and there is a lot to learn! Now I see the glaring blind spot I had! I didn't realize that head was...

Has anyone hooked a flow meter to a pool with an Intelliflo?

Re: Has anyone hooked a flow meter to a pool with an Intelli Ok, so am I reading the chart wrong? Looking at 690 RPM it doesn't even have a rating above 5 feet of head. So what does that mean? At 40 feet of head will my flow at 690 RPM be 0?

Has anyone hooked a flow meter to a pool with an Intelliflo?

Re: Has anyone hooked a flow meter to a pool with an Intelli Thanks for the info swimcmp! I'm curious because most of the people I've seen on here like to run their Intelliflo around 1000 RPMs. If the Pentair charts are accurate you would get almost no flow on that setting. Can you shed any...

Has anyone hooked a flow meter to a pool with an Intelliflo?

Re: Has anyone hooked a flow meter to a pool with an Intelli True, I'm mainly looking for someone who has actually hooked up a flow meter so I can compare their results to what the charts say their results should be so I can see how far off they really are.

Has anyone hooked a flow meter to a pool with an Intelliflo?

I have seen all the calculations and am firmly aware that the flow rates provided by Pentair are not very accurate. I'm also familiar with the formula for figuring out your flow rate. I'm just curious, has anyone actually hooked a flow meter to their pool and seen the real flow rate at different...

AUTOPILOT - Digital 220 and Intelliflow VS pump

I'll second what Jason said. The Autopilot has a lot of features the CPSC48 doesn't. The CPSC48 will chlorinate your pool fine, but if it were me I'd go with the Autopilot.

Old American Products spa light in pool

The IntelliBrite is one of the brightest lights currently available and will blow your old light out of the water! (LOL I'm funny!) You can also check out a J&J replacement bulb if you want to go that route. Easier, quicker and cheaper but still plenty bright.

Getting Ready to pull the Trigger, Online Above Ground Pool

Re: Getting Ready to pull the Trigger, Online Above Ground P DISCLAIMER: I work for a company that sells AG pools, including Sharkline. However, the below is my honest opinion. Sharkline pools are pretty awesome, especially the Matrix. And as far as being worried about resin, Cramar is right...

    Phantom Pool Cleaner

The legend is a hair cheaper than the 280. Robotics are also a great option if you want to go that way. Costs more up front but uses less electricity than running a booster pump. Dolphin does make some really good ones, also Aquabots and Blue Diamonds are both really good robotics.

    Pool Equipment - new install

For the pump in a residential setting you're fine with the 011018 model, no need for the extra expense of the SVRS. Quad D.E you could go with the 80 sq ft or the 100. I generally recommend going larger as then you won't have to clean it as frequently. The reason I recommend this one is just...

Some of the manufacturers of stain removers using ascorbic acid recommend waiting a week to add chlorine after treatment. I'd go with that just to be on the safe side.
