    Thanks. I have one last question. Is it ok to leave that piece of plywood that was used to form the spa? When they removed all the wood pieces they used to form the pool they left that piece as it was stuck pretty firmly to the pool wall.

    You have a good eye. Yes it is exposed rebar.

    Thanks for the reply! The rebar is from the skimmer. I don't see any exposed rebar in the air pocket but I cannot see all the way in.

    Air pockets/holes in gunite

    We had our gunite pool shot last week and when they removed the wood that was used to form the perimeter of the pool I noticed a few holes that look like air pockets on the outside just below the top of the pool wall (pictures attached). Is this something to worry about? Thank you!
