Can I do anything to lower the temp of the water in my pool? I have tried floating bleach jugs filled with ice (filled them with water and froze them). That didn't help.

I use about 3 quarts per day too. I have three kids who are constantly in the pool along with their friends and we also get tons of sun. I have an 8 gallon liquidator and fill it up about every 1.5 weeks. :-D

No, no waterfall or other water feature. I also have a vinyl liner. I, too, don't know how high the pH will rise because once it hits 7.8 I lower it. I guess it is not a huge promblem....just wondering if there is anything I can do to stabilize it.

I am having a problem with my pH staying around 7.8 this year. The water is perfect otherwise. I would just like to see the pH hold around 7.4. I am adding muriatic acid about once a week to adjust. I have added a liquidator this year instead of daily dosing with bleach. Any suggestions?

we just opened last weekend and our water was very clear.....i was suprised. our walmart does not have the 10% i have to stick to 6% from the grocery myself.

That is what I thought but I wanted to ask the experts on here before I drilled new holes into my plumbing. You guys have never failed me! So would you just leave the black hose intact?

I am going to hook up my liquidator this weekend and have a question. Our pool had a chlorinator once (before we bought the house). It was taken off for whatever reason and the black hose was put on at that point. Can I just hook the liquidator up where the chlorinator once was?
