Saw this listed over year ago. Saw someone posted a suggestion yet no follow up with if solution worked. Anyone having this issue?

It appears the house we bought has a pipe set up for waterfall or slide maybe? About 4 foot pipe sticking up out of concrete next to pool. It does have a valve to turn off & on in the main pluming. Could I build a waterfall using that pipe?

Hoping for assistance - is this the type of fix where you cut portion out - get 2 connectors / piece of pipe & glue back together (similar to a sprinkler fix)
